The educational farm
Rita Leo Verheyden personally oversees the educational farm activities, for which she attended a specific, accredited course in Milan at EAPRAL, part of Confagricoltura Lombardia, on managing private guests and school children who want to learn about horses and try riding. The activity involves the use of specific equipment that allows participants to approach the stable’s activities in a playful way and to follow real preparatory lessons on how to approach horses.
ETHOLOGY AND PHYSIOLOGY
The main physical characteristics and behaviour patterns of horses will be analysed, so that participants can learn how to interact with them correctly. They will also have the opportunity to come into direct contact with mares and foals.
FIRST TIME
RIDING
You will experience the thrill of riding a horse for the first time and learn the basics of equestrian technique.
HORSE MASTERCHEF
You can create creative dishes using the foods that horses like best. At the end, you will feed the horses, who will be the judges of the dishes you have created.

THE MARSH
Discovering the wonders of the marshland: birdwatching and learning about the main plants that grow in this environment.
THEORY AND SCIENCE
The educational programme includes the screening of videos and the observation under a microscope of some small insects that inhabit the marsh.
IMAGINATION AND CREATIVITY
Pupils will be able to develop their creativity by making objects using leftover materials from the stables, such as horseshoes and horsehair.
